SBY airport

[edit]

Thanks for the updates and additions, but I've partially reverted a couple of the changes you made. Our standard style is not to wikilink airport destinations, and we don't list frequencies because those frequencies change too often to be reasonably kept updated. Thanks for understanding. Photo credits

[edit]

On the very page you directed me to, see this: Wikipedia_talk:Captions#Credits_of_photos. Also, the terms of the CC licenses stipulate: "You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor." When the author asks that we give attribution under a photo, that means we do it. (Mind meal (talk) 03:11, 21 April 2008 (UTC))[reply]

This isn't a photograph I took. rather, it was part of a series of photographs I got released from Flickr. The author wants their name in the caption, and under the terms of the Creative Commons license I am obliged to "attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor." Thank you for your cooperation.(Mind meal (talk) 05:38, 21 April 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Oc104.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 10:08, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Fernando Guerrero (boxer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 03:36, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The NABO title by itself makes him notable enough. I've removed the deletion tag. Good work! - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 04:04, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Delaware State Required E10 Logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Delaware State Required E10 Logo.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:34, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As you took the photo, is the house with the flag the Cannon Ferry house as listed on the NRHP? It would be useful to ID it in the photo caption. Thanks. Parkwells (talk) 19:42, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:WOCQ-FM OC104 radio logo.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:WOCQ-FM OC104 radio logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 19:18, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Snoop Dogg

[edit]

I would so like the mystery solved and I was ready to hit "Thank you," but the article "Snoop Dogg Pleads No Contest to Felony Charges; Sentenced" to which you linked does not contain a birth date. But this gives me impetus to look around for a court record, and if you have a link to a document with the date, I will be the first to say, "Yay," believe me!--Tenebrae (talk) 02:41, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I found the right article: "Snoop Dogg Charged with Gun Possession". I'll add it and archive it.. And ... Yay! --Tenebrae (talk) 02:43, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WBOC-TV

[edit]

WBOC Classics/Antenna TV (16.2) was abruptly dropped from the WBOC lineup when Telemundo Delmarva was added to it's WBOC-TV transmitter in November:( WBOC is currently broadcasting Telemundo Delmarva from its WBOC-LD transmitter on 42.1 from Georgetown DE and WBOC-TV transmitter on 42.2 (the old 16.2 sub-channel) from Laurel DE. WBOC is currently airing ads for Telemundo Delmarva on their stations stating that the channel is available on both of these OTA channels. Currently it is unknown if WBOC Classics/Antenna TV will return to WBOC-TV. All new/current station promos aired by WBOC no longer show the WBOC Classics logo (only the WBOC-TV, FOX21, WBOC-FM, Telemundo Delmarva, and WBOC Digital logos are shown). WBOC's website layout has not been updated since the addition of Telemundo Delmarva (Telemundo has not even been added to their website). The What's On pane on WBOC's website is getting its TV listings from Titan TV. Titan TV is still listing 16.2 as Antenna TV. TV Guide recently updated their local OTA listings for Salisbury to 16.2 as Telemundo. All of this can be verified by tuning into the WBOC-TV's OTA signal. Noticed from your user page that WBOC is a client. If you can find out more if WBOC Classics/Antenna TV will return OTA, please share. Miss being able to view Antenna TV. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dmvtvjunkie (talkcontribs) 00:56, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

January 2019

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on WBOC-TV; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 19:09, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

WBOC/Antenna TV

[edit]

Can we confirm that Delmarva Sports Network is being added to just WRDE-LD? My guess, seeing the announcement, is that 16.2 might be on the main WBOC-TV transmitter since apparently 16.3 through 16.6 are in use (today's table update does not mention a 16.6 though their release does). Draper uses minor channels to denote transmitters. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 08:25, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Arcus (Speedrunner) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Arcus (Speedrunner), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 23:55, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
