User talk:Burdlaw
Hello, this is Burdlaw. I am a patent attorney from the Saint Louis area. I tend to create and edit articles in my area of expertise, namely inventions, patents, trademark, copyrights and intellectual property law and to correct articles that improperly credit people for inventions of others. I try to stay clear of those with which I am directly involved.

Discussion regarding your edits
[edit]Please see Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#Virtual_reality_therapy, you are encouraged to comment. Smartse (talk) 19:28, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Response: Regarding the edits to Virtual reality therapy, I have made a special effort to be neutral. I do have a relationship with one of the persons mention, Dr. Ralph Lamson, the pioneering inventor in the field, as his patent attorney. My initial edits were to correct edits, done anonymously, by Dr. Max North who was falsely claiming to be the original inventor of this technology, when I knew for a fact he learned of it from Dr. Lamson. However, through further editing by myriad others, the article has taken on a life of its own and is very comprehensive, accurate and neutral.Burdlaw (talk) 04:36, 17 February 2012 (UTC)burdlaw

Response: OK, the picture image in question is posted publicly numerous places, as a news item and thus use is fair use by law. I am a copyright lawyer that would know, but if you think you know more about copyright law than a copyright lawyer, to me it is not worth squabbling over, as I was just trying to be informative for Wiki readers. The picture is relatively out of date, anyway.Burdlaw (talk) 04:28, 17 February 2012 (UTC)burdlaw
Olin
[edit]Saw your edits on Olin Corporation from ~1 year ago. What do you have against Olin? If you are knowledgeable about the company and not just on a personal vendetta, can you rewrite in a neutral tone? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.72.1.3 (talk) 21:55, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
= 2012 = I am past official historian of Olin, particularly its Winchester division. I have nothing personal against Olin Corporation. I am disappointed with its decline from over 67,000 employees in 1945 to around 2,500 in 2012, as it did not need to occur but was attributable largely to poor management.Burdlaw (talk) 04:15, 17 February 2012 (UTC)burdlaw
