Terry Finn article
[edit]Hey there, thanks for your contributions. I've noticed that all of your edits to date have been somehow related to the Terry Finn article you created; this is of course perfectly acceptable, but that fact and the style of writing and content in some areas suggests that you may in fact be the subject of the article herself or someone personally related. This is not explicitly forbidden, but is usually discouraged to keep articles well-sourced and in a neutral point of view. Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest if you plan to continue editing the article. If you are in fact Terry Finn or personally related, we generally disclose as much by placing the {{Notable Wikipedian}} template to the article's talk page.
To be clear, I am not suggesting that there is any deceptive intent on your part or invented content. I am assuming good faith with all of your edits and only want the article to be in a form most appropriate for Wikipedia, and one that will withstand content challenges. I have edited out some wording that speaks to an editor's point of view, like that Latimore was "Impressed with her poignant portrayal of Maria" etc. If any such observations are in fact drawn from reliable books, magazine articles or web sites, they can be reintroduced (either summarized or in quotes) with citations. As noted on the article's talk page, the article needs to be better referenced in general so that individual facts, sentences or sections are attributed to specific sources. The list of references at the end is something, but they fail to support any specific information. This naturally casts doubt on facts within the article, though of course in its current state the content seems fine (to me) and not likely to be challenged on the basis of being inflammatory, invented, or promotional. Please let me know here, my talk page or the article's talk page if you need any assistance at all formatting references or the article itself. - The edits you have made exclude internal links to the cast members who appeared in the plays, films and television programs in which Terry Finn appeared. I am not certain as to why they were removed, as external links i.e. imdb.com and ibdb.com confirm this information. I am the author of this biography and husband to Terry Finn. I am listed on Wikipedia as David Snyder aka David L. Snyder and I have not as yet added any information to my bio as published. I can assure you the information in Terry's bio is correct, yet you will have to give me some guidance as to the additional procedures that I need to perform to remove the headings that question the authenticity of this article.

- Thanks for your reply! Again, I was never suggesting that any of the material in the Terry Finn article isn't true, I just wanted any personal connection/potential conflict of interest to be made clear, and wanted to help the article to be as well-sourced as possible.
- As far as citations go, take a look at Bernadette Peters ... you will notice that the main body of the article is peppered with references that support individual facts, sentences or paragraphs. This is important to preserve the integrity of an article, because unverifiable information can be challenged and removed.
- I removed the co-stars primarily because they are largely unnecessary in an article about Terry, and seem to have been added to enhance the significance of the plays or films. Bob Hoskins remained notable because he invited Terry onto his next project. An article must always be written from a neutral point of view, and I made some other adjustments to minimize what I felt was an occasional "promotional" tone. However, it is 100% fine for you or anyone to include quotes from (and/or references to) any positive reviews of Terry's work, assuming of course they are from reliable and verifiable sources.
