Tag on BBW

[edit]

Please consider the status of your NPOV tag on the Banned Books Week page. There have been significant changes since you left the tag, including an expansion of material on Amnesty International that I believe you first contributed. If you still find sufficient material for the NPOV tag, please specify as required by the tag so that the issues can be addressed. Consensus is to remove the tag, but we await your input out of courtesy. Thanks. --LegitimateAndEvenCompelling (talk) 23:14, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Personal information

[edit]

When discussing a conflict of interest issue please don't include personal information about a Wikipedia user as you recently did at Talk:West Bend, Wisconsin. Their editing is usually proof enough. Fred Talk 11:37, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct that if a user has publicly disclosed personal information there is no harm done by you disclosing it. However the solution is to resolve any conflict of interest issues, not to link a user with his identity. Please bring the matter up at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard emphasizing the conflict of interest issue and how it hurts editing. You've made your point that the user is involved in the issue. There is no point in repeating explicit information. Fred Talk 12:45, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent ALA edits

[edit]

You have been making excellent edits on the ALA page. Thought I would tell you that. --LegitimateAndEvenCompelling (talk) 00:45, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
