Any chance you can get a photograph of this grass, even a cultivar? I hear that it is used in major areas of Japan as lawn, maybe a photograph of it for sale at a lawn and garden center, anything that would help the article? KP Botany 19:06, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hello. Zoysia matrella is generally found in Kyūshū or Okinawa. Unfortunately, I live in Tōkyō on the mainland. No promises, but I will keep a look out. For reference, it is called kōshun shiba (コウシュンシバ) in Japanese. Here is a page in Japanese with images: Kōshun Shiba. Of course you will have to contact the site about using the images first. - Yeah, I knew it was used extensively on Okinawa, and saw you lived in Tokyo. I have some pictures that are probably it. You can add the Japanese names if you want, I was going to but my son said there was something wrong with the ones I was using. I hadn't actually thought about just requesting an image from a commercial source, I bet I could find someone who would give one up. Thanks for the idea. KP Botany 00:17, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
