A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Beauty School Littleton, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —C.Fred (talk) 14:21, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Beauty School Littleton, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. —C.Fred (talk) 14:37, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pick a username that reflects you, not the college. Not to mention, since you'll have a conflict of interest, you probably need to be very careful trying to create an article on the college. —C.Fred (talk) 00:53, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You are missing the point; your username must not be a name of any business, company or organization, and should not relate to the subject you wish to write about. Also, if unblocked, please be aware of our conflict of interest policy.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 11:00, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your username should reflect you more than it does the college. A username like "John Doe from Littleton" would be acceptable since it indicates it's used by an individual and not a group. —C.Fred (talk) 00:52, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As I have already said, your username need not - indeed, should not - reflect your editing interest. I do not write about "Anthony Bradbury", and C.Fred does not write about "C.Fred" for example. We have, or have had, editors with names like "Arctic Kangaroo", "Boing said Zebedee", "Right said Fred", "Can't sleep, clown will eat me", and so forth. Some of us use our own names, but this is wholly optional. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:53, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

You block and offer no suggestions for someone new to Wikipedia trying to do an honest thing like making a record of the college. Make a new title, all you are doing is criticizing me.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
  1. understand what you have been blocked for,
  2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
  3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 14:47, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Although the administrator who placed the original block gave a block notice saying "Your username is the only reason for this block", I have looked at your editing history, and that is by no means the only problem. This account has been used only for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to Wikipedia policy, in addition to the username problem. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a free advertising service. If you wish to be unblocked, you must do both of the following: (a) Propose a username which is consistent with Wikipedia's policies. Two different editors have already given you examples of the kinds of names that would be acceptable. (b) Make it clear that your future editing will not be attempting to promote your college, as you have done before. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of this page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 14:55, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
