Hello! I noticed that you made a few edits to Sierra Madre, CA. As a resident of the city, I always have it watched. However, I must ask you to take care as not to disrupt Wikipedia's encyclopedic nature. Wikipedia's main policies are NPOV, Manual of Style, and Ownership of Articles. And of course, correct grammar and spelling should always be used. Some of the edits you made used bad grammar and punctuation conventions, as well as grammar that seemed to violate Ownership of Articles. For example, you said the following in one of your edits:

(besides, the California Department of Justice's Bureau of Peace Officer Standards and
Training would've NEVER allowed it in the first place--especially nowadays!)

is a prime example. because you used all caps in the line, another user edited it based on guidelines at Ownership of Articles and Manual of Style. Also, you didn't place the space before the opening parenthesis at the beginning of the line. If you have any questions, drop me a line on my talk page (follow directions for leaving a message there) or, if you need someone with a little more expirience, ask a sys-op. And welcome to Wikipedia!

Desert Hot Springs Police

[edit]

I deleted your comments re: Desert Hot Springs police. I'm a commissioner for the city and in fact we have almost 30 police. Your statement about 2006 is also in error. I don't understand why you'd post such false info. JS5owner 14:55, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh NO!!!...Does this mean I am ignorant about any aspect of this city?...It seems that now I'm getting severly roasted over a barbecue over a tiny tidbit of DHS life???...

Now, I will try to humbly apologize for offending not only the DHSPD, but also the City Council, Chamber of Commerce, and any other high-ranking city official in any city in the Coachella Valley that I have upset...

Hope you accept this apology...

Sigh...now, I'm almost in tears over this(sob!!)...WAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!...I'm an IDIOT!!!

Desert Hot Springs, California
Has anyone noticed that there wasn't any mention of the excellent water that also put DHS on the map(the water that has won numerous awards at the Berkeley Springs(West Virginia) International Water Tasting competition?

If that isn't appropriate for that Wikipedian from DHS to add to this page, than what is???...

Offending the City of Sierra Madre(and its police force!)...

[edit]

Oh, no!!!I'm so sorry I have disrespected the people of Sierra Madre(and its Police Department) with what I thought was a nice tidbit of information...Now I'm afraid that if I say anything about any city in the San Gabriel Valley that may have easily upset anyone for that matter, it will also be deleted within minutes(even though it is factual)!

Now, I'm just about to cry over this stupid and serious offense I have made to my neighbors to the northwest!!!

Please accept my humble apologies over this...

I'm so sorry about this...

I didn't know that there are ANY Wikipedians in Sierra Madre...

Desert Hot Springs water

[edit]

Can anyone in DHS(CA) fill in the more important information about this excellent water, plus(if possible) provide the link to the official website of the Mission Springs Water District?

Thanks...

Baldwin91006 18:41, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey!!!...someone deleted the piece about DHS' excellent water!!!...unfair!!!...must be that "commissioner" from the city who doesn't like anybody describing the real DHS!...please restore the water article at once...thanks!

"Science Fantastic with Dr. Michio Kaku"...and other fantastic weekend talk radio shows

[edit]

Can someone please add this show to the category "American talk radio programs", as well as WWE wrestler/controversial host John "Bradshaw" Layfield, Victorville(CA)-based host Barb Stanton, and...uh...oh, well, you know what I mean...thanks...Baldwin91006 (talk) 02:30, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Literary sources only" or else?...who is this guy?

[edit]

Who is this guy who keeps demanding instant "literary proof" NOT from ANY website?...every time I try to input "proof" of whatever I type in, he's not satisfied with website links at all; to him, they have to be actual books registered w/ the Library of Congress available ONLY at actual libraries(NOT Barnes and Noble or Amazon!)...sigh, I just can't please anyone anymore...I try to follow the rules, but end up getting "e-yelled at"!...

Look, I mean no disrespect, but even if I used my "sandbox" exclusively instead, he'd still insist on "instant literary proof" on ANYTHING I write or else...please don't be so quick in your harshness, but I'm trying to follow the rules here, OK???...now I'm starting to cry over this(sob!)...Baldwin91006 (talk) 02:02, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(Reposting from here) I'm not trying to be harsh, but many things just need citation. I don't have a clear memory of exactly what I edited that was yours, except the San Jacinto text and that one item about racism in the Adelanto police. If it's notable enough for the world to know, and if you have a credible citation, include it, but otherwise it's accusatory. The "claim that city officials deny" text in the San Jacinto article is similar; it implies someone's lying, which is accusatory, unless it's both credibly cited and notable enough for the world to know. In both cases, though, I merely asked for citation, which is not "you're wrong" or "you're vandalizing" or "you're not welcome." Wikipedia just demands that information generally be backed up by citation, and it also demands a neutral point of view.
Further note: Anything credible citation will do. Please see Wikipedia:Reliable sources for a list of what's considered credible. Michael Patrick (talk) 19:51, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I hereby apologize for my "rant", but it's just because that I was getting almost frustrated by the whole event...and Michaela, thanks for trying to calm me down; maybe from now on, I'll just go back to my "sandbox" and fiddle around" with any future edits, but still have to worry about anybody coming aboard and "requesting" proof...Michaela, I'll be back soon, OK?...it's in your hands now...Baldwin91006 (talk) 17:22, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No need to restrict yourself to the sandbox—if you have a quality edit to make, put it on the main page, preview it, and post it. If the information you post is very basic, not controversial, well-known to people familiar with the subject, etc., you would probably be fine with not citing sources for everything you post. But generally make your additions notable and referenced. Especially if you're talking about identifiable people—don't go into details unless relevant, and give a credible source to show what you say is true. And proper punctuation and other such conventions are always necessary. Thanks. Michael Patrick (talk) 19:51, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sheriffs in the United States, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Terry Johnson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to The New Adventures of Beans Baxter may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • Kurtwood Smith, best known for playing "Red" Forman on "That 70's Show" many years later)) and comedian Taylor Negron as his second-in-command henchman.
