Image Tagging Image:Joseph.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Joseph.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Agnte 15:39, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi there, Astrochris. Although a little late, I'd like to thank you for fixing the typo in the Latin translation in my user page. I can't believe it had been there for so long... Thanks a lot. Redux 00:54, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oi Astrochris. Vejo que você é brasileiro também. Por acaso você não teria vontade de contribuir também no Simple English Wikipedia em artigos relacionados ao Brazil? Obrigado. --Paulistanum 20:54, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Hoosh, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. First Cloned Baby

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as First Cloned Baby) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. A tag has been placed on Public Financial Management requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mbisanz (talk) 07:36, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. There were a couple of factors that led me to CSD (probably hastily).
1. 35 billion is a lot to me, but to a multi-trillion bond market and 12 trillion GDP, it seemed small. Then again, to the muni bond market it could be large.
2. The SDC ranking was (and is) unsourced, and the seemingly random year period (24 years), made me think someone had maniipulated a spreadsheet until PFM hit the top ranking.
3. The version I speedy'd didn't have a link or any sources, which made it seem more likely than not a case of WP:SPAM
However, I do admit now that I might have been a bit hasty in nom'ing it.
I'm seeing now that most of your numbers appear to have come from this page [1]. I'm going to put it in the article as the source of those particular statement, but would strongly encourage you to get outside verification of those numbers. We all know how companies use EBITDA to inflate their earnings and some outside commentary (even a newspaper) would make me more sure in sourcing those numbers.
And is it just me, or is their website really poorly laid out? Mbisanz (talk) 05:10, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:Aladi.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Aladi.gif. Unfortunately, I think that you have not provided a proper rationale for using this image under "fair use". Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. Note that the image description page must include the exact name or a link to each article the image is used in and a separate rationale for each one. (If a link is used, automated processes may improperly add the related tag to the image. Please change the fair use template to refer to the exact name, if you see this warning.)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 13:42, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Ken Moelis

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Ken Moelis, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Ken Moelis seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Ken Moelis, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
