[edit]A tag has been placed on Breadbox ARI requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tikiwont 08:23, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

- The notability criteria may seem strict, but the idea is indeed to not simply have a directory of anything (art gallery, painter, etc) that ever existed. Basically, we do not want to duplicate listings or database such as Artabase. For having an own entry, a gallery should have been written about in reliable sources. Whether this holds true for the galleries you have in mind, I cannot say, but if not, it would rather be a reason for examining their articles more closely instead of adding similar ones. Moreover, I didn't assume that you are here to spam nor was that the reason for deletion. However, given your username and page, please have anyway a look at our conflict of interest and user page guidelines. If you like Australian art there is certainly a lot that you could contribute, so I have posted you above some links as welcome.--Tikiwont 11:36, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
External linking
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I've noticed you're adding artabase links to many articles. A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Artabase, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for businesses.
If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page in question and leave a note on this page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calton | Talk 11:06, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]This kind of activity is considered spamming and forbidden by policies, and also violates our username policy.
However, if you feel that there has been a mistake in your blocking, please appeal this block by adding the text{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below or email the administrator who blocked you. Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Please check that your new username has not already been taken by checking this list. Request reason:
The wikipedia username policy says use of a company name is not explicitly forbidden, so I think that banning me for this reason is uncorrect. I have endeavoured to follow all suggestions provided to me by your administrators when adding content to wikipedia. I have provided valuable references for information contained here, when contributing valuable information (about artist histories for example, and artwork images as references). I don't think my account should be deleted when I am endeavouring to enrich the usefulness of wikipedia as a historical site. If you prefer I will make a personal account, but I don't see the difference, the content I contribute will the same. If you want me to edit my personal page that's fine. I was only trying to present real information.
Decline reason:
Wikipedia is not a promotional vehicle. You will not be unblocked if you intend to recreate the article. OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:33, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
I wasn't blocked for creating an article...
Decline reason:
Your userpage, which was recently deleted, was basically an advertisement for your website. Additionally, nearly your entire editing history has been to simply add links to your website to various Wikipedia articles. This is clearly promotional work, which is why you have been blocked. Your username was an incidental, but near as I can tell, not primary reason for your block. Jayron32.talk.contribs 04:44, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
