RE: Welcome...

[edit]

I believe that Suicide methods deserved the howto tag because it was explaining, in detail, how to commit suicide, instead of saying that some others commit suicide.

Templates

[edit]

{{helpme}} How do I create a template? Any help would be appreciated. Ainlina 12:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Have a look here and here for complete instructions. It's much like creating a normal page, but it's prefixed by "Template:", much as your userpage is prefixed by "User:". Hope that helps. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 16:51, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Main Page login status bug

[edit]

{{helpme}} I have noticed that on the Main Page I cannot see the "Ainlina", "My talk", "My preferences", "My watchlist", "My contributions" or "Log out" links along the top. Is this just a fluke or does anyone else out there experience the same problem?

Ainlina (talk) 16:54, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, please try clearing your browser cache. More information on how to do this can be found at Wikipedia:Bypass_your_cache. I hope this helps! The Helpful One (Review) 16:56, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It only happens on the Main Page. Please explain.

Ainlina (talk) 17:06, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Chances are it is one of two things. Most likely it is something related to your browser. When you visit a page it is stored in your cache so that if you visit latter the information is not downloaded again but is just pulled from your computer. Clear your cache and look at the page again (see the link above). It will then download the full page and that should fix it. If not, check your monobook, Special:Mypage/monobook.js there is a chance something could be there. I would lean towards your cache or browser being the problem. (If you are using Internet Explorer try using Firefox and see if it still does it - or if you are using Firefox, try internet explorer). Minor change

Just in case you were wondering where my user page has gone, it now redirects here.

Wikiprojects

[edit]

Hi Ainlina, in response to your question on my talk page, yes of course you can join a Wikiproject. You don't have to join one to contribute things, but they are a great way of finding things you're interested in and/or know a lot about, and they often have lists of suggested tasks to give you ideas. There is a complete catalogue of projects here so you can find the one that interests you most. And if you're looking for things to do more generally, try the Community Portal for lots of suggestions. Hope that helps, give me a shout if not. And nice to see you still involved. How exactly do I join WikiProject Monotremes and Marsupials?
Usually you just add yourself to the list of participants. If you're unsure, try asking on the project's talk page. Eve (talk) 12:09, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re your colour pallete question, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. I've never done anything with colours in Wikipedia, so I'm probably not the best person to ask. If Wikipedia:Colours (plus the 'see also' links from that page) doesn't help, your best bet is probably asking at the helpdesk. Eve (talk) 12:21, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your message

[edit]

Hi, thanks for letting me know about the removal of the vandalism warning on the 86.1.137.54 (talk) talk page. I've left a further message on the talk page as it seems there are multiple users with the same IP address. Richerman (talk) 20:47, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your rollback request

[edit]

Hello Ainlina, I have granted your account rollback in accordance with your request. Just remember that rollback should only be used for reverting vandalism, and that misuse (either by using them to revert good-faith edits or to revet-war) can lead to its removal. For practice, you may be interested in seeing Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 18:02, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
