WikiProject Alternative music and sources
[edit]As part of the Alternative music WikiProject, we're gathering a list of sources on this page. Could you take a look and perhaps add any written references you have access to? Thanks! CloudNine 10:07, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]I think that quote should stay with the previous sentence clause for NPOV issues. The current place is fine, if that sentence clause is removed. (comparison to Holocaust )denizTC 22:25, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, please also ask them to be as concise as possible. I don't want to search for the one 'important' sentence among a hundred sentences, which are not so related. denizTC 22:50, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Project for Pride in Living
[edit]Could you help me delete the article Project for Pride in Living and delete its old user talk page from appearing on google? I deleted all content and do not want it to appear in search. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by RebeccaC21 (talk • contribs)

External Links vs References
[edit]The policy for external links is not the same as references. External links are provided as a way for readers to go and learn more about the subject on their own - these are of limited utility if they're not easily accessable. But references are different. References don't need to be accessable from the internet at all. Editors are free to reference books, magazines and scholarly journals that may require a fee to purchase and may not be available for free at all. While there's always a preference for more easily accessable references, there's no mandate that references must be free. WilyD 19:13, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

After you click you should get the results of computation:
The sample you submitted scored most highly against:
- Czech
with a score of 0.016590.* The next three highest scoring language references are:
- Polish (score 0.015456)
- Czech (score 0.015339)
- Lithuanian (score 0.015055)
Is it true? Yes/no ? Do you have still objections ?
Again the computing interface is http://complingone.georgetown.edu/~langid/ If the full text will be pasted the results are very similar.
If you wonder if the test is reliable contact the author. By the way you can post other languages entries, the ngram methodology is basically mathematical computation.
Nasz 01:25, 26 April 2007 (UTC) ps: the text here is a text of Stenberg edition wihithout spaces and numbers since the spaces and numbers are not present in the codex original
A:The problem is that the site is not a reliable source according to the Wikipedia definition ofa reliable source. It is not published, the results have not been peer reviewed, etcetera. It is not a scientific study of the subject. Use of the algorithm qualifies as original research, in that you provide the results of what you enter. N:Is the Georgetown Uniwersity not respectable institution ? I here can show reverted edits form other (fundamentalists) arguing that PNAS and Sience are also not a good sources. The problem what is WP:OR lays in the ability of perception. I propose to make a cathegory WP:OOR "Obvious Original Research" . If you, Jon Smith & all poples can verify a truth in sentence why you, me and we have to dismiss it ?
By the way you did not answered my "yes/no" question ?
George Washington (inventor)
[edit]Wow, thanks for your interest. I am rather humbled that anyone would care to translate my little biography of this rather obscure, though colorful individual. I will let you in on a little secret now, that just about my entire knowledge of the Dutch language is the phrase nl:Eendracht maakt macht, because that is also the motto of Brooklyn :)--Pharos 01:49, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Wesley Snipes
[edit]Thanks for your reverts on the Wesley Snipes page, but that is now the third time that one user, 138.37.207.124, has attempted to put in something about the "blackest man in hollywood." Also, another ip address has done the same thing. I don't know how wikipedia works in this regard, but is there a way to stop that phrase, or is it just warnings to the various ip addresses? A couple times is goofing around, 5 times is a concerted effort, and I certainly don't want to encourage some vandal by getting angry about it. Thanks from a new user.Polkapolkapoker 19:20, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]I'm not 100% but according to this, it says he is "eligible to play for Turkey through his mother, who is Turkish-Cypriot". I believe his mother must've been born in Turkey or a parent of her's is Turkish. CanbekEsen 20:47, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
