Situated in the northern part of Namibia , Ohangwena Region , Ongenga Constituency is a village called Ongobeyaola. In english term "rotten cattle". It was discovered by a Ndonga man named Alughodi who was abandoned by his family as he refused to marry the girl his parents chose for him. He walks all the way to Kwanyama and found an area which is unoccupied. He decided to settle there for a time being. He prepared his temporarily shelter which he made with tree branches and put his luggage there to go for a walk around to see if he could find any people nearby. He walks for 20 km but he didn`t see any sign of residence nearby so, he decided to go back to his shelter. On his way back he saw something kinda far from him, curiously he moved close and close to it. When he get close he realized that it was a dead cow which was only being eaten by birds. The next day he decided again to walk around and he walked for a distance of about 50 km away from his shelter until he met a boy who was hunting and he asked the to take him to the headman of their village. When he went to the headman, the headman asked his men to go to with him and Alughodi to this area. They went there and the headman said its out of his borders and they went to that rotten cow. When the headman got home, his wife asked him, where he was he said: "okwali twa ya kOngobe yaola", so it was named Ongobeyaola and people start making their houses there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abner Penda (talk • contribs) 07:26, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
