Palestinian Governments Palestinian Governments They are three governments in Palestine. The first is Palestinian National Authority, a democratic regime with a Parliament and president elected by vote and a Government led by a Prime Minister and named by president. The government has a foreign minister. The Palestinian National Authority asked in 2012 ask for observer status at the UN General Assembly. (http://english.alarabiya.net/articles/2012/08/04/230378.html). After Palestine granted non-member observer state status in the United Nations, Palestinian National Authority renamed itself State of Palestine (move not recognized by Israel). This is Palestine which listed as a state recognized by the UN. The second is The Government of HAMAS In The Gaza Streep, a Government in rebellion against the legal government of Palestinian National Authority which in present leads only West Bank (Ramalah). This government was formed without elections. The third is State of Palestine, proclaimed on 15 November 1988 by the Palestinian National Council (PNC) in Algiers, a putative state, de facto ineffective despite partial international recognition. This state has not a Parliament and president elected by people. Palestinian National Council (PNC) is the legislative body of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which is not elected through general elections, that is not a democratic parliament. That body elect the president of this State of Palestina who is the president of Palestine Liberation Organization. The Executive Committee of PNC is the government of this state of Palestine and is led by president of Palestine Liberation Organization . It is not a foreign minister but a responsible with foreign relation. The single link with Palestinian National Authority is the person of president who is the same. It is announced the unification of State of Palestine and Palestinian National Authority but in present they are distinct entities. This situation is reflected on www.rulers.org and www.worldsatesmen.org. Bogdan Uleia (talk) 17:07, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Authenticity and Development Front requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. though the article did not qualify for speedy deletion, it really needs additional references if at all possible. DGG ( talk ) 07:40, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the above two guidelines when you plan to create an article in the future. Pass a Method talk 22:23, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ghuraba al-Sham Front has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I did a google search for "ghuraba al-sham front" and there was not a single return from outside of wikipedia or from a reliable source. It was created by an editor who has also created other non-wp:gng compliant pages.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

[edit]

Hello, I saw your post pointing out the incorrect date that the Islamic State was declared. I have a section on the Talk Page titled "The date of the Islamic State's proclaimation" which you are welcome to join to make your case. Gazkthul (talk) 07:44, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ISIS article

[edit]

Can you help translate the Arabic acronym for ISIS? Is it "DAESH" or "DAISH"? Supersaiyen312 (talk) 22:06, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's more of pejorative than acronym. I see DAESH is better. 3bdulelah (talk) 02:31, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, thanks. The Arabic wiki also uses it. Supersaiyen312 (talk) 02:58, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I have to ask.. Do you know why the English version is more detailed and longer than the Arabic version? Supersaiyen312 (talk) 03:01, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Because we have different articles for the former Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Qaeda In Iraq 3bdulelah (talk) 03:41, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

DAESH

[edit]

Do you know why the name is pejorative, and why ISIS hate it so much? No-one seems able to answer this question and I have looked on the internet but can find nothing on this. Btw, I have altered the date in the infobox for the establishment of ISIS to 8 April 2013. There was lot of discussion about which was the correct date on the Talk page and I agreed with Gazkthul, that we have to record the date on which group themselves declared the new name and establishment of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. Wikipedia has to record facts, after all, not dispute them and make its own interpretations. --P123ct1 (talk) 21:52, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

First thanks for correcting the date. Regarding the name (IS) want to be called as "The Islamic State" while most Muslims refuse to use this name because if we use it this will reflect that we recognize them as the supreme legitimate government of all Muslims around the world like the early Islamic State or the Rashidun Caliphate. This is why they use eather DAESH or Islamic state Orgnaiztion (Tanzeem Addwlah Al-Islamya). 3bdulelah (talk) 18:35, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation. Looks so obvious now! No wonder they don't like DAESH and find it insulting. DAESH was in use before they became the Islamic State (according to the footnotes in ISIS), but I suppose even with the name Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) they were laying claim to having established an "Islamic state" which Muslims did not accept. --P123ct1 (talk) 21:47, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes exactly Daesh or داعش came from D= Dawla دولة (state) A= Islamyah إسلامية (Islamic) E=Eraq عراق (Iraq) Sh= Sham شام (Levant). 3bdulelah (talk) 22:06, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. My date change was reverted, Gazkthul reverted it back to the April 2013 date, and he has been reverted by Toolen, who put the 2014 date in in the first place. It is an old discussion on the Talk page here. I have responded to Toolen's comment in the thread you began. Just an FYI in case you haven't seen these latest comments and reverts. --P123ct1 (talk) 20:49, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

P123ct1 I read that DAESH sounds like crush or stomp so it has a descriptive negative feel. from the Telegraph "A strain of thinking indicates ‘Daesh’ is a pejorative, deriving from a mixture of rough translations from the individual Arabic words, notably the Arabic verb دعس, within the name, which means to tread underfoot, trample down, crush." Is that correct? Legacypac (talk) 00:05, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No not true داعش doesn't equal دعس. 3bdulelah (talk) 15:29, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
3bdulelah: I am trying to keep the discussion going on the date on the Talk page here, so perhaps you would like to join in when you can. --P123ct1 (talk) 14:46, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Third Battle of the Shaer gas field

[edit]

Excuse me, but just where in this revert/edit here [1] did you provide a source that says the events from a week ago are part of the same offensive that ended a month ago? Even Mehmedsons has stated this is not the case. And also, I do not see a source calling it a major ISIL victory. EkoGraf (talk) 05:33, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected that, Thank you 3bdulelah (talk) 05:37, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you corrected the date. However, the source you added for the victory is from May 5th, which is only 3 days after the battle/offensive started. The battle/offensive lasted until May 30th and, even though you don't want to admit it, included failed ISIL attacks on the second field, airbase and Huwaysis. I remind again, 3/4 of ISIL's objectives were not accomplished. So, how is a source for a victory in one-quarter of the offensive also a source for a victory in the whole offensive? EkoGraf (talk) 05:40, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
we already discussed this, you are the only one who want's to expand this article to an area not related to the same offensive. you can't call an offensive that led to the capture of the largest gas filed in Syria as "Indecisive"! if you wan't you can expand the date until the recent recapture of Huwasis by ISIL because battles were still ongoing in that area. if you want to talk about T4 offensive and ISIS presence north of the airbase then you can create another article because this battle is ongoing for more than a year now and the main aim was to cut SAA forces in Palmyra, so it was part of Palmyra offensive 3bdulelah (talk) 05:49, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Don't have the strength to fight you on this anymore since you will obviously continue to edit war. Made the compromise you requested per the talk page. EkoGraf (talk) 05:46, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That's Okay for me 3bdulelah (talk) 05:51, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
you are the only one who want's to expand this article to an area not related to the same offensive, I'm not seeing Mehmedsons and 175.110.86.117 making objections on the inclusion of T4 and Huwaysis. So basically, its actually you who are the only one who's saying the offensive started and ended at Shaer. But like I said, whatever, have it your way. EkoGraf (talk) 06:00, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sirte

[edit]

Doesn't matter what it might or might not be. What matters is what's it commonly called. Per Wikipedia's policy on common names (look it up) we name an article per what reliable media outlets commonly call it. And they are mostly referring to it as a battle, not an offensive. Three editors agreed to this (consensus) and requested a technical redirect (back to its original title) from an administrator which was done. So, please revert your last edit and stick to Wikipedia's policy on: an established consensus, common names and making a proper move request (which you didn't and originally made a unilateral move). EkoGraf (talk) 02:57, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As u wish. u can revert my edit. What I wanna say is that the Media started calling it a battle after it becomes inside the city only. 3bdulelah (talk) 03:00, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thank you. I will have to make a request from an administrator again due to the technical reasons. EkoGraf (talk) 03:01, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
