[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. FDW777 (talk) 08:08, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

List of prime ministers of Australia issue
[edit]Hello 2204happy i apologize for removing your edit without explaning the issue here is the thing i am prefectly happy for you to add the monarchs there are many lists were at the right side of the list there the head of state or monarch some even have pics and the duration of their rule . What i wanted to do was to keep the monarch section be remove the govenor general section i simply tried deleting it but i could not to get it to work . So i am suggesting could you pls that if you dont mind it of course . I think having the monarch and the governor general is a bit much what do you think ? Also for an axample check the List of prime ministers of Cambodia

- Hello friendlyhistorian, no worries about the edit removal all's good there. I also apologise for my very belated response, I saw your post here but when I got the notification but was busy at the time I saw it and subsequently forgot. As for your suggestion about keeping the Monarchs but removing the Governors-General, I do see where you are coming from, but I have to disagree on the basis that virtually all of the Monarch's powers in relation to Australia at a federal level are exercised by the Governor-General, including (importantly for this list) the power to appoint and remove Prime Ministers. I also note that in the List of prime ministers of Cambodia, the column is labeled as "Head of State", which is evidently because Cambodia has gone through periods of Monarchy and Republican rule. If we are to follow this rule of thumb that it is the head of state that should be listed in these types of lists then we ought to list both as there is debate around whether the Monarch or the Governor-General (or both) is the Australian Head of State (see http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Australian_head_of_state_dispute). If you still feel that the Governor-General column should be removed I'm perfectly happy to discuss this further :) 2204happy (talk) 10:52, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
