Can any one tell why BSF has been deployed for Anti-Naxal Operations when a specialized force CoBRA was raised in CRPF for the purpose. Isn't this force alone capable of handling the Naxal situation? The fact is that CoBRA Battalion was raised around 10 years back with the scope of elimination Left Wing Extremists from India. Till date around 20 CoBRA Battalions are into existence, which infact is not at all sufficient to cover the LWE affected areas. Therefore MHA has approved deployment of other Paramilitary Forces in addition to CRPF in these affected region. CoBRA is one of the few Specially Trained Commando Force possessing excellence in Jungle Warfare in the world. They play a very crucial role in Operations, Search and Destroy and Rescue Missions. Additional Deployment of other Paramilitary Forces in these area are infact the best way to utilize trained soldiers in the area on severe necessity.JAVELIN SABER (talk) 08:38, 5 February 2020 (UTC)JAVELIN SABER 05-02-2020[reply]
