The first season of Sakura's Next Top Model By GTV premiered in Indonesia on April 13, 2024, on Instagram, and still in the running. 13 contestants were selected via WhatsApp to compete in the running of becoming "Sakura's Next Top Model." The first season was filmed during the summer of 2024. The winner of the first season will win a cash prize of Rp30.000 Indonesia Rupiah and a certificate.

The first season of the show introduces a unique kind of elimination process, usually like America's Next Top Model, host Tyra Banks hands out a photograph to each of the contestants who are safe, in order of merit. The bottom two of each episode are called to stand before Banks and are judged individually.

This season features a scoring system, using combined challenge and judges' scores were added into the final tally to determine who would be eliminated. The call-out order plays a significant role in determining the best contestant of the week—different from other SNTM and any Top Model show, the call-out order are randomized, usually calling the third best photo or fourth first. Usually Leaving the top 2 and bottom two of the week, A system inspired from Rupaul's Drag Race where the models' performances are still in order, but are called out of order and the results are usually revealed after judging.
