Technical information
[edit]- This template relies on two subtemplates {{User:Zappernapper/Pokeconvert/numtoname}} and {{User:Zappernapper/Pokeconvert/nametonum}}
- This template generates an empty string output if you request a number output that does not exist.
{{User:Zappernapper/Pokeconvert|Glaceon|johto}}
- Pokémon's names will always have the first letter captialized.
- This template attempts to allow for format variations in entering the following names, the list below provides a reference for those names in their accurate formatting if users are having problems with them.
- Mr. Mime
- Mime Jr.
- Porygon2
- Porygon-Z
- The male and female Nidoran are a special case as some people are unable to type the ♀ or ♂ symbols. These symbols are used by the template internally, but the following formats are also accepted for either male or female forms.
- nidoranf
- nidoran(f)
- nidoran f
- nidoran (f)
- nidoran female
- nidoran (female)
- Currently this template does not support conversions based on other pokédex numbers or Japanese names, but this is a future possibility, the current format was written to be extensible, so hopefully this will be available one day in the future.
