A music video for the song was directed by Wilson, Ian Hotchkiss, and Chris Lowe.[1]

Summary and imagery

[edit]

A panda costume appears, eventually beheading itself to reveal Patrice Wilson is wearing the outfit. He uses a stereotypical Chinese accent when rapping, compared to "Charlie Chan".

Reception

[edit]

Dose.ca called Wilson a "genius", suggesting that, based on viewership, "horrible music and hilariously awkward videos are the future."[2]

Not all outlets were convinced that the video was racist.[2]

vaguely racist[1]

completely racist[3]

Patrice Wilson's rapping in a stereotypical Chinese voice was compared to Charlie Chan,[4] "almost as uncomfortable as" I.Y. Yunioshi (Breakfast at Tiffany's)[1]
