Sashidhar Vempala is a wildlife photographer, documentary[1] film maker and conservationist. He is the founder of the nature conservation organisation, the Guardbook Conservation Foundation[2], which works towards supporting the forest guards of India in their conservation duties. He has also made conservation films on human wildlife conflict. Living with elephants[3] [4], and some other documentary films. A documentary on the Sunderban forest guards titled, The Guardians of the Sundarbans (2018)[5]. A documentary on the Madhya Pradesh forest guards - The Smiles of the Forest[6] (2017).
