Uku Randmaa (born February 6, 1963[1]) is a solo sailor who was the first Estonian to sail alone around the globe. Uku Randmaa sailing on the sailing yacht Temptation 3 (Hanse 430) started her journey on June 6, 2010 and ended on June 12, 2012. Her journey started from Tallinn, continued sailing around Iceland, the Canary and Cape Verde Islands, across the Atlantic Ocean to the Panama Canal, across the Pacific Ocean, from the Fiji Islands to the northern tip of Australia. , from Christmas Island to the Cocos Islands, across the Indian Ocean to the Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of Africa, and from there back to the Cape Islands, where it was the end of the full circuit. In 2018, he participated in the international competition GGR (Golden Globe Race), during which he was the first Estonian to sail alone without stops around the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Leeuwin and Cape Hoorn, coming in 3rd place among 17 participants in the race. The entire competition lasted 252 days.
