Usage

This template formats the links for New York City Subway services and the time periods in which they operate. This template is not to be called directly from within articles.

Parameters

An NYCS service template will call NYCS time 2. These are the parameters to be called:

  • [first unnamed parameter]: the name of the service
  • icon: the name of the service icon–this is the same value as the value used in Template:NYCS SSI
  • text: the text for describing the times of operation for the service
  • time: This parameter must be formatted as follows: time={{{time|}}}. See below.


The typical code is as follows:

{{NYCS time 2|A|icon=alltimes|text=all times|time={{{time|}}} }}

For a skip-stop service such as the Z, here is an example:

{{NYCS time 2|Z|icon=rushpeak|text=rush hours, peak direction|time={{{time|}}}}} skips to [[{{{skip}}} ({{{line}}})|{{{skip}}}]]
