In the heat of late summer in Alabama, the Crimson Tide Cross Country Kickoff featured 3 teams, all from Alabama. This was first of two meets hosted by Alabama in 2012 and was won by sophomore Matt Joyner of Alabama. Alabama also won the team competition where they had the 3 out of 4 first runners and all scoring 5 where in the top 10.
