History

1984 The company was co-founded by Govind Prasad Sarawagi in 1984 as Siddhi vinayak knots and Prints Pvt ltd- brand name Laxmipati Sarees. In 1984 continued the polyester business of the firm with trading, In 2006 Laxmipati Sarees established a synthetic fabrics mill in Surat the company expanded its business into textiles, with becoming its major brand in later years. In 2016, company started its own weaving unit in Surat

Employees As on 31 March 2018, the company had 4500 employees of which 1259 were women and 10 were employees with disabilities. It also had 19000 temporary employees on the same date. As per its Sustainability Report for 2017–18, the attrition rate was 10.5%. But currently, the same attrition rate has gone up to 15.4% in 2018 as per latest report
