I'm Sameer ud Dowla Khan, associate professor of linguistics at Reed College. My main interests lie in linguistics, languages, transportation, and urban planning.
As a linguist, I am most interested in phonetics and phonological phenomena such as intonation, phonation, reduplication, etc., especially in South Asian languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, and Marathi, among others. I am also very interested in the orthographic systems of many languages.
I am also known as SameerKhan on Wiktionary and সামীরুদ্দৌলা on Bengali Wikipedia.
