[edit]The following are photographs I have taken and uploaded to Wikimedia:
-
Hurstmonceux, Lewisham (1874). Mid-Victorian villa/lodge with return verandah on three sides. The openwork pilaster columns were cast by G. Fletcher & Son, Waverley. Likely renovated at some point during the Federation era.
-
Fairview, circa 1881-1882 Victorian Filigree villa in Dulwich Hill, NSW. Featuring Sydney-style openwork columns.
-
Terrace pair, Elizabeth Street, Ashfield; built c.1885. They feature flat, openwork verandah supports, a hallmark of the Sydney Filigree style.
-
Elysium & Gadgecombe (c. 1887), Leichhardt built featuring cast iron lacework including lyrebird-inspired baluster panels, fan-motif brackets, and a double-frieze (one frieze incorporating a lily pattern and the other a grapevine pattern).
-
Coranga, Marrickville. Built c.1888. A Victorian Italianate cottage/villa built at the peak of the boom period, showing the confluence of styles with Italianate and Gothic influences.
-
Fulham Terrace, Croydon (1904). The front fences have been modified, and the balconies of the two right houses have been filled in. The ironwork on the balconies is of a pattern that was registered in NSW by A. T. Rees and Company in November, 1885.
-
Carlotta, Marrickville, New South Wales. Completed 1909.
-
Thorby Buildings, Leichhardt (1912). Federation Filigree shop-terrace of seven shop-residences with cantilevered balconies and timber fretwork brackets and balustrading.
-
Roslyn, Ortona, & Anembo. Row of three Federation bungalows, in Marrickville, NSW. All three were built in 1917, and feature decorative gables, timber fretwork verandahs, and duochrome brickwork.
