Petra Kalenská (* 1990, Jilemnice) is a Czech lawyer, university teacher and human rights activist.

Petra Kalenská was born in 1990 in Jilemnice. She graduated from the Gymnasium in Jilemnice[1], then studied at the Faculty of Law of Charles University, where in 2015 she obtained the Master's degree with thesis on the topic "The defense and the role of new human rights in international law".[2] During her studies, she earned an LL.M. degree at the Swedish University of Lund in the field of international human rights law.[3] In 2020, at the Charles University, she wrote a dissertation on the topic "Right to Education of Members of Ethnic Minorities in the European System of Human Rights Protection" and obtained a Ph.D.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name (see the help page).

Since completing her master's studies, she has worked at the Office of the Government in the Human Rights Section, where she at first dealt with the rights of the child and later with equality between women and men.[4] In 2014, together with Jakub Varvařovský, she founded the human rights festival MNOHO SVĚTŮ v Jilemnici (then One World in Jilemnice).[5] She took part in discussions on gender equality and violence against women.[6][7] He currently teaches social and legal protection (December 2021) at the Faculty of Education, Charles University.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name (see the help page).

In the 2021 Czech legislative election, she ran for the 10th place as a candidate of the Green Party in the Liberec Region as a member of the movement called the Future (Budoucnost).[8] She got 177 preferential votes, but was not elected because the party did not get into the Chamber of Deputies.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name (see the help page).

She writes articles for Deník Referendum, A2larm and Respekt.[9][10]
