The film ‘Nisabdham’ tells the story of a mother and daughter and the relationship between them.  The film develops through the events that happen in a day from sunrise to sunset. In this time span, through the characters and events they meet, the hardships and joys of their life's journey are brought to the audience. Instead of extraordinary dramatic moments, the hard realities of life lead the story forward.

Lakshmi belongs to a middle-class family in Valluvanad. She had to leave her home due to some special circumstances and now lives in an inner city with her daughter who is a high school student now. They live by ironing clothes in the big flats and villas of the rich near by in a wheelbarrow. Being a hard worker, her only goal is to provide her daughter with the best education and standard of living. She is working day and night for that. The plot of the film is all about those who help them in their journey of life and those who are waiting for an opportunity to take advantage of their helplessness.

This film is produced by Raghunath N B, a direction graduate from the Film and Television Institute of India Pune.  The leading role of Lakshmi is played by Krishna Prabha and her daughter Aswathy by an new face Prarthana Menon. The film has a length of 78 minutes and is in Malayalam language.
