The present article accurately and HONESTLY discusses how IMBRA was conceived and passed into law, and how special interests were carefully exempted. The intent of IMBRA is easily discovered by reading this clearly written law. IMBRA sponsors continue to howl about "Human Trafficking" when the Dept of Justice, FBI etc know that ethic organized crime has the most to do with that heinous crime.

No one is protesting IMBRA challenging the parts of IMBRA that require background checks to uncover applicants with family violence histories and alcohol related crimes. EVERYONE SUPPORTS THAT PART OF IMBRA!!!. The present article describes that part fairly.

IMBRA's controversy is 1) exemption of BIG CORPORATIONS and ETHNIC websites from member record keeping, and 2) giving detailed personal information to unknown foreign persons in this day of identity theft.

IMBRA's attachment to the VAWA Act offers a special insight to how laws in Congress are really passed by special interest groups. A better insight than what we learned in school.
