Luke Ahearn is the current Vice President of the Quinnipiac University Student Government Association
Early life
[edit]Luke Ahearn was born in Rhode Island, where he grew up. He attended St. Philomena School K-8 and then The Prout School in Wakefield, Rhode Island where he won a Lacrosse State Championship and captained the Crusader's hockey team. In high school he was the recipient of the Rhode Island General Treasurers Youth Leadership Award, Spirit of Art Award, the Hobey Baker Character Award, Male Outstanding Athlete Award, and the Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award.
College Life
[edit]Luke Ahearn currently is pursuing a Marketing Major with a Sports Studies Minor from Quinnipiac University. He is the Vice President of the Student Government Association, former Class President, and former Social Chair for New Blue Rugby.
In the 2018 spring election Luke was involved in an election scandal when another student allegedly persuaded students to vote for Ahearn, and in return be rewarded with free alcohol. Ahearn was eventually cleared of the charges and won the election by a 20% margin.[1]
Ahearn's work on Student Government and across campus has earned him the Albert H. Jente Award in 2018.
