Introduction

[edit]

Growing up in an era where adults would warn you to fear Wikipedia, my initially contrarian response was to use it anyways, and now I find myself boldly professing love for it. We all understand the risks and the pitfalls here, but broadly, it's a project of gathering knowledge, using the Internet for what it can do best; collaboration streamlined through the whole wiki structure, with moderation, mixed expertise, criticism, and debate, all for the sake of making a useful database. I may be unhealthily obsessed with the accrual of knowledge made available to us by our species' talent for collective learning, but it seems that I'm not alone there.

I'm a writer of fiction—under the name Prophecion—with one single self-published novel at the moment. I hope to start putting out my work more casually in an even more accessible way as I find myself battered and bruised by the simplest things, such as the concept of marketing.
