My nickname is Pilot_51 (or variations of it when it happens to be taken or not supported on certain services) and I was born July 3rd, 1986. I usually enjoy contributing online, such as providing tech help, hosting servers, and creating videos and podcasts to name a few.

In my free time I like to play games, watch or listen to podcasts, watch movies or TV shows on Hulu, talk with my online friends over Mumble, or hang out with my local friends when the chance arises.

Recent happenings

In mid-early 2010, I started learning Java and Android programming and have since released a number of apps to the Android Market. It is my hope that Android programming becomes my profession and eventually extends into other languages and related skills.

In mid 2010, I switched to Ubuntu as the primary operating system on my main PC after 8 years of Windows XP and a lifetime of Windows as my primary OS. I had been using Ubuntu as the secondary OS on my main PC and primary OS on my server and 2 laptops for 1-2 years prior. My then new-found interest in Android programming was a significant help in securing my transition thanks to the reduced urge to play games that wouldn't work properly in Wine.
