The Hotel Modern The Hotel Modern is a New Orleans boutique hotel known for its eclectic style and personal touch.[1]

History The Hotel Modern was purchased in 2011 by a new investment company, August Group NYC. Until 2011, it was called Le Cirque Hotel. The 135-room hotel was renovated to create a more open, homey feel, with German hotelier Klaus Ortlieb at the helm.[1]

Features The hotel is located on the parade route and features viewing stands and wait service for parade-goers who may want to order food or beverages.[1] The hotel also includes Bellocq, a cocktail lounge with drinks created by the owners of Cure, and Tamarind, a French-Vietnamese fusion restaurant offering cuisine created by chef Dominique Macquet.[1]
