Nicholas Tizekker (born June 7th, 1990), known professionally as Nik Tizekker, is an American Film Producer, Director, and Cinematographer.
Early life
[edit]Nik was born in Boise, Idaho, to Jill Tizekker and Robn Meeks. At the age of eight, Nik received his first video camera. That's when things changed. He began making short films with his family and friends and by the time he was in his teens, he knew the entertainment industry was for him. Originally, Nik wanted to act. As a toddler, he was also a baby model for Air Jordan by Nike, so he was already used to being in front of the camera. It wasn't until High School when he absolutely fell in love with being behind the camera. He also plays guitar on his free time.
Career
[edit]Nik Tizekker has been working as a director and producer for over 15 years. He founded Tizaster Productions in 2005, a company which has become known for taking clients' ideas and initiatives and turning them into art in motion. Nik has a wide range of experience, specializing in film and music video. Nik has shot videos for dozens of artists, including Jonathan Cain, Krayzie Bone, Brandyn Burnette, and Leah Turner.
Nik's excellence behind the camera, intuition for storytelling, and his heart for others in everyday life set him apart in the highly saturated entertainment industry.[citation needed] His enthusiasm for the work and skills behind the camera come together in a down-to-earth combination of heart and hard work without ever losing the human connection. During his small run of his career, he has worked with legends and icons such as John Schneider, Christopher Lloyd, Lesley Ann Warren, JK Simmons and RJ Mitte, to name a few.
Nik's biggest influence has always been Director/Producer J.J. Abrams. "I really like his style of storytelling," says Nik. "The way he portrays his stories with the whole mystery box idea and telling it through the art of filmmaking, it just blows my mind." Meeting Mr. Abrams was one of the best days of his life, and Nik aspires to work with him one day.
As of late 2021, Nik began writing Butch Cassidy's Forgotten Outlaw, a story about his great-great-great-great uncle, Bob Meeks, who was a member of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch.
