This chapter focuses on the diversity of the guenons as a group, with details on the physical characteristic and social behaviours of the Gabon talapoin species, also known as northern talapoins or miopithecus ogouensis.^[2]

The Miopithecus ogouensis was assessed to be classified as ‘Near Threatened’ by Maisels in 2017 and published in 2019 in the IUCN Red List.^[3]
