WHY LOVE TURNS INTO BLOOD?
[edit]It’s no doubt that the land of the brave has turned into the land of blood simply because of love. The later was supposed to be shared till old ages and be enjoyed between two couples who are attracted together and are willing to make each other happy in all times, to further to this lovers who are in love must be able to stand for one another and be able to forgive one another when they do wrong against each other. It’s a clear indication that love has taken a different path but more worse is that it has diverted to bloodshed kingdom. The question on everyone’s lips is what really went wrong, why are the youngsters not following good examples from their parents/elders, but more importantly why love turns into blood? This is the question that still has to answer to end these passion killings.
Many will strongly concur with me that at least 3 women dies every week in Namibia due to what’s called passion killings, it’s sad to know that what was supposed to be the sweetest thing that can ever happen to a woman turns out to the worst thing that any human being can ever go through. It’s not yet clear of really why men do kill their lovers and sometimes kill themselves, but like they say where there is smoke there should be fire. There are strong reasons that leads to passion killing as listed below:
1.Betrayal or what is well known as “DIRTY KANDESHES” It’s a proven fact that women likes money, good life, which includes having a nice car, beautiful clothes, nice apartment etc. These valuable items do cost a fortune and guys have really to go deep into their pockets to satisfy their women with all her needs. At this point men do think they have a future with these certain women only to learn that the gal want to end the relationship. That being said men feels betrayed and stabbed in the back, thus to some think the only way to get back all he put/invested in a lady is to kill her and kill himself .I can safely conclude that women must learn to stand on their own and reject all valuable items from their so called lovers. They must aim for one thing either love or valuable materials because the wise man once said I say and I quote “if you ran after two hares, you will catch neither”
2.Like the say goes it is foolhardy to climb two trees at once just because one has two feet. This is the point where women get it twisted, thinking they can date two guys at the same time. Many men go jealous when they caught or heard that their lovers/spouse is cheating on them. In this case guys follow the statement which goes like for every action there is a reaction. Allow me to sincerely contradict this killing action as there is a solution to every problem. Good talking will solve any problem that may have arisen in any relationship.
3.It’s about time Women and girls need to realise to their worthies and be able to end abusive relationships. Many women are taken as objects and sometimes they use their body to get money or any other valuable materials. They have to take pride in their body and start treating them with value and respect, with that being said I sincerely hope and think that love will go a straight way if all women know what they worthy and have ethical morals. It appears that a lot of guys still need to be taught how to love and appreciate women and more importantly to love themselves. Love does not need to end in blood but quite the contrary it should end in rejoice and in fun. Here are some of the tragic passion killings that happened in the land of blood, my mistake I mean land of the brave.
- Patricia Hango aged 23, a recent college graduate; her life was brutally ended when she was gunned down 5 times by her boyfriend aged 42 who killed himself with same weapon also.
- Polytechnic student Elizabeth Tuwilika Ekandjo 21 was allegedly strangled to death by her former boyfriend Gabriel Jana Petrus.
- Tangi Martin a local businesswomen in the Ohangwena Region was brutally murdered with a panga by her estranged husband.
Whether it’s the knife that falls on the melon or the melon falls on the knife, it’s the melon that suffers, that goes in line with the fact that whether it’s a guy who did wrong in the relationship and kills the gal or it’s the gal that mess up and get killed in the end it’s the nation that suffers. The government and the nation at large is forever loosing valuable future leaders. Families are left with big gaps to fill as their bread winners are killed.
[1] To conclude this article I call upon all Namibians all the people in this world to sincerely start respecting each other, caring for each other and let joyful among them prevail and yet lead them to a better world. Let passion killing be history .together we can all make a difference.
