Mirdiff City Centre is a large shopping center under construction in the Mirdif area of Dubai UAE,The Mirdiff City Centre project was first announced in April 2007 with construction beginning in August 2007. Expected opening date in the first quarter of 2010. Mirdiff City Centre will be similar in size to the Mall of the Emirates. Mirdif City Centre comprises 3,116,451 sq. ft of gross floor area spread over a service basement ground, and 1st floor, and 180,000 square metres of shopping space, Mirdif City Centre (MCC) will offer roughly the same gross leasable area (GLA) as Mall of the Emirates, the largest malloutside North America and the first with an attached indoor ski slope.Upon completion the mall will include 7,000 car parking spaces and 430 retail outlets, including Carrefour the world's second largest retailer.
The Mirdiff shopping centre is expected to attract an expected footfall of 18-20 million per year, compared to approximately 21 million in Deira City Centre and 25 million in Mall of the Emirates.[2]

[edit]The mall contains 430 shops with adjacent 3 level parking for over 7000 cars, a Magic Planet Entertainment zone which will contain a sky diving experience as well as indoor 5-a-side football pitches. In addition the mall will contain 8 standard and 2 gold class cinemas and a number of brands such as Debenhams, Zara, Home Centre, Paris Gallery, Virgin Megastores and a gym with pool, two food courts with about 60 different eating outlets, cafes, restaurants, a Carrefour hypermarket, a 10 screen cinema complex, an outside cinema, and an "iFly" indoor skydiving center.
