"Ordinary Guy" is a song released in 1967 by Joe Bataan.[1] It is considered to be Bataan's most "signature" and popular song.[2][3]
Personnel
[edit]Credits adapted from Genius.[4]
- Joe Bataan – lead vocals, piano
- Sammy García – organ
- Randy Russell Pigeé – guitar

Covers
[edit]In 2020, American artist Chaz Bear, under his stage name Toro y Moi, alongside the Mattson 2, covered the track.[5] A major reason of Bear's cover was the fact that him and Bataan both have Afro-Filipino heritage, of which the original song's lyrics mention.[citation needed]
