The Biography of Darrin Patterson
When researched in the dictionary, the word “Destiny” means; “a predetermined course of events often held to be an irresistible power or agency…” Now, take a moment and think about what this term could possibly mean to an individual who aspires for greatness. Then imagine how some use this phrase and embrace every aspect of all that it means to them - as they venture through various open doors that God could have only opened. Some choose to use the word 'Fate'; which they believe ultimately guides them through life to their present state as they encounter various experiences along the way, be they good or bad – yet still shaping them into whom and what God called them to be. Both terms so gracefully and unequivocally correlate and more so is what led Darrin Patterson to this predestined moment in time. Destiny, but more importantly God’s will; are also two of the many reasons he is where he is today, thus, the summation; The music ministry of Darrin Patterson is birthed and ready to take the Gospel world by storm.
~The History…
It wasn't by happenstance and or purpose that Darrin was asked to minister in a musical in May of 2000. By this time, his experiences included; singing in church for years, singing in weddings, and in several groups. Wherever he stood, quite frankly you'd find him singing something. The common question frequently asked of him was "why are you working here?" As he experienced singing in numerous amounts events, it was something about this particular Musical in 2000 that would be the catalyst for things to come. He wanted to represent himself with a chordal and after a several grueling practices there was an awesome move of God the night of the musical. Then, being called Darrin Patterson and Friends (it would later be changed to Darrin Patterson & Promise). It was noted that he and his group were anointed having a sound that could almost be compared to some of the popular gospel artist heard today. Unfortunately after a short stint with Promise, the group disbanded in 2008.
~The Voyage…
Darrin continued on being fortunate to travel different parts of the world singing and ministering at numerous major venues as well as sing background for such well known gospel greats as Fred Hammond, Mitchell Jones, Lexi and many others.
It was once prophesied to him that his music would touch many lives all over the world. He has always believed God anointed and gifted him to reach the nations through his music.
~The Sound…
There is a unique sound and anointing that rest upon the movement of Darrin Patterson's ministry. He has been groomed to have his own sound. However, if to be compared to anyone in the gospel or contemporary praise and worship music arena - names such as Israel Houghton, Fred Hammond and Tye Tribett are just a few names some would compare to this phenomenal praise and worship leaders sound. His production, writing, and arranging abilities are yet being discovered and realized. They will soon catapult Darrin into a category of his own
~The Present…
After several years of gaining knowledge in the music business, life, and ministry, Darrin is definitely ready to make a long lasting mark in the music world.

Currently, Darrin is excited about hitting the gospel music scene with his latest debut single, "Love You Forever" off of his highly anticipated freshman album entitled "The Road". This "projected hit" is on the rise and receiving some great local rave reviews. A national recording status is definitely a dream of his, for which he prays will soon come to life.
His prayer is that his un-wavered passion for music and writing songs that are full of life, love and hope will also soon be heard and sang throughout the world just as it was prophesied to him years prior.
