Johntess "J.T." Yao Boateng-Sarpong (born July 3, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played for the Chicago Bulls from 2020 to 2023. A 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m) shooting guard, A NBA MVP and and the NBA Rookie of the Year. He Married Kendall Jenner on November 18 2021.

Boateng was declared for the 2020 NBA Draft and was selected 1st overall by the Chicago Bulls. He, along with fellow draft pick Jonathon Alese, signed with the Bulls in July, 2020. Boateng was the starting shooting guard for most of his rookie season with the Bulls and impressed many people with his high athleticism and good defense. During the All-Star Weekend, Boateng played in the Rookie Challenge, where the Rookie team won. The Bulls made the playoffs securing the 1st seed in the Eastern Conference. JT averaged 15.3 points per game and 6.6 assists while the Bulls lost to the Miami heat in the first round.
2021-22 season
[edit]During the off-season, the Bulls signed shooting guard J.R smith, who was expected to start at the beginning of the season rather than boateng. Prior to the pre-season though, smith broke his hand, so boateng started the first 15 games of the season. After smith's return, boateng moved into a bench role for most of the season. At the end of the season, the Bulls made the playoffs as a 1st seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls lost to the Boston Celtics in the ECF.
2022-23 season
[edit]In the 2022–23 NBA season, Boateng posted career-highs in points and shooting percentages, but the Bulls were unable to win their division and finished as the fourth seed. [edit]On August 10, 2012, Boateng was traded from Chicago to the Los Angeles Lakers for Andrew Goudelock, Devin Ebanks and Undiscosled draft picks.
