Jgurd
[edit]Jgurd is not a particularly cryptic username. It's my first initial and my last name. There aren't many of us. Please don't track me down, even though you almost certainly can.
I'm a graduating senior at a small private liberal arts college in New England. This simple fact has many repercussions that I'm sure will come to bear in my edits on Wikipedia.
Interests
[edit]I'm an English major and along-time lit geek. Modern, metaphysical, and some Romantic poetry are a few specific areas I've studied a great deal. My senior work is on Shakespeare, specifically on the cross-dressing heroines in three of the comedies (The Merchant of Venice, As You Like It, and Twelfth Night). I've also studied and applied related theoretical approaches, specifically feminist and queer studies.
I'm also a fan of Greek and Roman mythology.
Work
[edit]So far, some corrections and major/minor edits to the Twelfth Night page.
