Eyes of Al-Ahsa[1] or Al-Ahsa springs are flowing water springs, according to the information contained in the book of Oasis of Al-Ahsa by author Federico Schmid Vidal, which he classified in 1952 when he worked at the Arab American Oil Company (Aramco)[2] and he submitted it to Harvard University[3] as a subject for his thesis for a doctorate in 1964 M. The total flowing water is estimated at more than 150,000 gallons per minute, and the depth of the springs differs markedly so that it is between 500 to 600 feet and the depth of some large springs is only slightly from the surface of the earth.
Al-Ahsa water fountains are warm and their temperature ranges between 85 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and there are many hot springs with a temperature of more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Ain Najm is one of those hot springs that are characterized by the fact that its water is sulfur.
Al-Haql Spring
[edit]It is one of the largest water springs in Al-Ahsa and the second eye in Al-Ahsa is considered in terms of abundance of water and its strength. The flow of its water is the greatest among the oasis fountains, as it is estimated at 22500 gallons per minute. Its waters irrigate a large part of the surrounding gardens. Eye of the field forms a very large lake at its source and the beginning of its flow, its paths branch into a large number of water distribution channels that irrigate the palm groves and rice fields.
Al-Haraa Spring
[edit]This eye is located north of Al-Mubarraz. This eye is one of the largest springs in Al-Ahsa. Its flow is estimated at 20000 thousand gallons per minute. Its water is somewhat warm, reaching the surface of the earth through three craters forming a very large lake, the dimensions of which are 400 * 100 yards.
Al-Jowharia Spring
[edit]A medium-sized spring with an estimated flow of three thousand gallons per minute, located near the village of Al-Batalia.
The Ditch Spring
[edit]It is one of the largest springs of Al-Ahsa. Its source is estimated at twenty thousand gallons per minute. It is one of the most important water sources for the eastern side of Al-Ahsa.
Najim Spring
[edit]A medium-sized spring that is hot and sulfuric located about what happens to the west of Al-Mubarraz. During the Ottoman rule, the spring was very detailed for its therapeutic efficacy. She returned to the eye and became famous for those suffering from rheumatic diseases, stiffness of nerves, and activities due to the water temperature. Mosel narrated that representatives of the people of Al-Ahsa surrendered in the year 1792 AD to Imam Saud bin Abdul Aziz at Ain Najm and he tells Filby that there is a common belief attributing the existence of this star to the location of the fall of a meteorite. It is now reported that most of Al-Hasa springs were formed in this way.
Umm Sab'ah Spring
[edit]A large spring is estimated to flow twenty thousand gallons per minute. Its water is hot. The temperature of the water measured in the outskirts of its lake reached 101 degrees Fahrenheit and reached 103 or 104 Fahrenheit in the middle of the lake above the craters of the eye. There are only five tables now.
