^ This election marked the first time an African American was elected to statewide office in Illinois
^ No runoff was held due to the Democratic candidate withdrawing from the race, making the Republican the winner by default.
^ Since the results for both years are the same, only a single map was made.
^ The article for this election was deleted in July of 2024, but since this map has already been made and uploaded I figured it was worth including.
