Hickman Okumu Alela(born 14 May 1991) is a Kenyan Techpreneur and philanthropist. He chairs Hickman Foundation and is the founder of HickmanCooper.
Early life

[edit]Hickman was born in Nairobi, Kenya on 14 May 1991, to Kesiah and Erick Alela, originally from Homabay County, Kenya. He grew up with three siblings.
Education
[edit]Hickman studied Applied Computer Technology at United States International University - Africa, obtaining a bachelor of Science with a first class Cum Laude (3.52). Afterward obtained a Master of Business Administration from Kingston University
Career

[edit]Hickman worked in the United Nations as a Tech Support Engineer before venturing into Techpreneurship.
On his entrepreneurship journey, he has said:

In 2013, Hickman decided to start a technology firm to take over the ever changing technology needs for the African continent. He turned his company profitable within two years and in 2020 during the Covid pandemic scored a huge client in the UAE for a Ten Million Dollar Software Solution deliverable.
Hickman currently serves as the CEO - Founder of HickmanCooper.
