Milestones
[edit]1986 - Sunil Wadhwani & Ashok Trivedi founded Mastech in Pittsburgh, PA, and focus on a business model that imports IT talent to meet growing demand.
2000 - Restructures as iGATE Corporation. with a focus on moving companies’ information technology services overseas.
2002 - As U.S. IT talent supply outpaces demand, the company focuses on domestic talent, including H1-B visa holders, which becomes a core competency.
2003 - Company begins to selectively market its offshore recruitment services to staffing industry clients as a cost-effective way to supplement their existing recruiting capabilities.
2006 - Company launches offshore global recruitment model to create advantage with high-volume, low-cost to high-efficiency, high-volume.
2008 - Mastech Holdings, Inc. spins off from parent iGATE to return to its roots as an independent, publicly traded information technology and healthcare staffing supplier.
