New York is the venue that opened the door for a great collaboration for two young artists. Jerry Wess, originally from Bedstuy and Young Future from Palm Beach, Florida both shared the same passion for music. The two of them had the drive since early childhood being brought up in the hip hop generation and being molded through a genre as they took rap into their own hands. However, coming from different upbringings and different locations it didn't distort the combination of the two to come together later in life. Fast forwarding to high school, Jerry Wess was always into the battle rapping and school performances. He would often be seen at gym, in the lunch room or just in the hallways rhyming with or against other rappers. The majority of the school took a liking to Wess quickly not only due to his personality, but to his verbal attributes accompanied with slick metaphors and persuasive gestures. There wasn't a cypher or battle that went by that he wouldn't try to get into.       However, Young Future was into the record deal mindset since high school. He joined up with fellow classmates to form a team and to spend time perfecting his flow in the studio. The studio, which is just like home to most artists, became a place of growth, maturity, knowledge and inspiration. His life struggles, journeys, goals and his overall way of life became his main tools to fuse with his lyrical ability. He was quickly growing in the popularity ranks in high school with his catchy songs, witty word play, and strong determination to not be like everyone else that touches a microphone. He stayed in the studio every chance he could get to lay down anything that came to his mind. This caused his flow to gravitate to a level that made his attraction to the public eye at an all time high. He has a very unique sound that quickly catches the attention of listeners and makes him standout amongst the masses.

The meeting of the two young men took place during a rap battle between Jerry Wess and another rapper in the school. Young Future overheard and watched Jerry Wess as he displayed his astonishing ability to control a crowd and eliminate opponents from all angles. Young Future and his affiliates were discussing Jerry Wess personally and decided to see what he is really capable of in the studio. An invitation to the studio was offered to Wess by Future and was immediately accepted. To no surprise, Jerry Wess impressed every one area and was offered to be a part of the group. Future recorded songs with Wess as well. But, as with any young group, problems arised.  The pack was soon to go off on their own and seek what they all truly wanted in life. Everyone went their separate ways to pursue careers most suitable for each of them.

Four years went past after Future and Wess graduated from high school. They hadn't seen or had contact with each other, which made it more difficult for the two to even focus on reuniting. Unknowing to both of them, they had lived across the street from each other in the Bedstuy area.  Until one day, on Ralph Avenue, they crossed paths and it changed the two forever. With quick expression of gratitude and empathy upon sight they reminisced for lost time and got together to politic on hiphop. During this time Future was putting together a mix tape and offered Wess a feature on the last track.  Again, Wess quickly accepted. They worked on a separate song called "Shorty Got A Wagon" which began to quickly catch people's attention. Not only because of the creativity and how catchy the song was, but their performance and vibe together on stage was huge to the audience every time they performed. We wanted to keep this vibe for as long as we could and decided to form a group called "Futuristic Lingo". The name derived from one of Future's songs off the "I am him" mix tape which almost gave meaning to the difference that we're bringing to hip hop. We represent what no one has ever thought of and the creativity to keep ourselves separate from others but loved by everyone. So, we put together a self titled mix tape produced by Essence Carson (a.k.a Pr3p-e) who gave us the funding and support we need to push us up through the ranks and become one the greatest rap duos the world has ever seen.  Simply put........Futuristic Lingo.
