hello! i’m a current student who’s fairly new to contributing. i’m still getting the hang of some things!

i have a major interest in taxonomy, along with zoology and marine biology in general. as of now i usually add synonymy or etymology to existing taxon pages or i create articles for redlinked taxa, along with occasionally updating US census data on places. if i happen to miss a certain style guideline let me know :)

my primary aims on here are to add missing taxonomy-related information in a way that doesn't require having to hop from database to database. i really desire for there to be an easily-available, comprehensive database of not only taxonomic names but basic descriptions of taxa and diagnoses as well. (i advocate open access for this reason as well!)

i love research and combing through articles, journals, archives, databases, etc. in general! though on here i will likely stick to subjects i'm more familiar with like taxonomy, i enjoy doing this for many subjects.
