This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). [edit]Trauma Therapist, Advocate, Researcher, Author and CEO of Neuro Vitality & The Trauma Recovery Network.
Felicia is a proud First Nations woman who created the Growth-Focused Trauma Model[1]. She is a woman with a conviction history.[2] In her practice, she works closely with people with lived prison experience, women survivors of domestic violence and intergenerational disadvantage, as well as people with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges.
Felicia is the co-author of "Accessory" [3]published by Affirm Press written in beautiful prose with seasoned journalist Erin O'Dwyer,[4]"Accessory" is a bold and searingly honest tale of an extraordinary life, one that gives voice to the women behind the 'gangland trophy wife' cliche.Felicia created Australia’s first all-female, Indigenous-led, lived-experience study on the adverse childhood experiences (ACE) [5]of people involved in the criminal justice system, co designed and facilitated by Tahlia Isaac, Founder and CEO of Project:herSELF. Felicia presently serves on the board of Directors of Project:herSELF [6]
In her monthly column on mental health for the national prison newspaper, About Time[7], Felicia provides practical tools to those navigating the challenges of imprisonment.
Felicia was awarded Most Innovative Woman of the Year at the 2024 International Business Awards. Her academic foundation in social sciences and counselling—along with qualifications in journalism, legal services, community services, and communications—blends with her real-life experience of violence, trauma, and the justice system.
She is an in-demand International Speaker, who covers issues including criminal justice, mental wellbeing, the feminisation of poverty, domestic violence and women’s offending. She offers tangible, practical, holistic, and culturally informed perspectives on issues of intergenerational discrimination and the disadvantages faced by women.[8]
