SpaceStation
[edit]SpaceStation is an Icelandic rock band from Reykjavík[1], known for their blend of 1960s psychedelia, late 1970s post-punk, and German krautrock influences. The band has gained recognition for their experimental sound and their revival of classic rock styles with a modern twist.
History
[edit]Formed in Reykjavík, Iceland, Spacestation debuted with their self-released EP BÆBÆ in July 2023. The EP introduced their unique sound, which merges elements of psychedelic rock, krautrock, and post-punk, and featured tracks such as Train to Berlin and Hvítt Vín (Alternate Mix).
In November 2024, Spacestation performed at the prestigious Iceland Airwaves festival, marking a significant milestone in their career. Their energetic performances and growing fanbase have made them an exciting band to watch in the Icelandic music scene.
Their debut album, Reykjavík Syndrome, is slated for release in February 2025, with a sound that promises to be more dramatic and introspective, inspired by the band's experiences living in Reykjavík.
