I've decided I'm going to be a bit of pedant and correct some sloppy colloquialisms that, while used by everyone, are not strictly accurate.

The first of these is "impossible". My professional and personal obsession with black swans means that I can't abide this word being used incorrectly. This doesn't mean I intend to be some post-modernist wanker - it merely means that if something is possible, albeit extraordinarily unlikely, we should say so.

This especially applies to statements about technology or future events.
