I question the propriety of including Leonardo DiCaprio's role in "The Man in the Iron Mask" among the media portrayals of Philippe I, Duke of Orleans. The character called Philippe is the twin brother of Louis, born within seconds of the future king. The fictional Philippe is hurried away from court in great secrecy to be raised in obscurity and in total ignorance of his origins. He later returns to replace his brother on the throne and assume his identity. The historical Duke of Orleans was nearly two years the junior of his brother the king, and had only remote prospects of ever gaining the crown. The fictional character in "The Man in the Iron Mask" is not intended as a portrayal of the historical duke. ENScroggs (talk) 22:26, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
